Boston, MA - April 13, 2021 - Electra Vehicles, Inc., experts in AI algorithms for battery packs and creators of EnPower Design Suite, announced that it has become a member of the MathWorks Connections Program. EnPower Design Suite is now available as a Mathworks third-party offering.

EnPower Design Suite for Battery Packs is a web application that enables rapid cell selection from a database of over 300 batteries and capacitors, including both commercially available and novel cell chemistries, for all electric mobility applications. Says Electra’s Co-founder and CEO, Fabrizio Martini, "By partnering with MathWorks, Electra’s powerful, rapid battery selection and comparison tool, EnPower, reaches over 4M+ users worldwide, supporting today's rapid transition to eMobility and ensuring the best battery selection from a complex and continuously evolving marketplace. With this partnership, MathWorks reaffirms its leadership in the computing and simulations environment by offering novel and fully integrated solutions for eMobility like the EnPower Design Suite."

With EnPower as a part of the Simulink workflow, engineers can dramatically shorten the battery design cycle by quickly validating or modifying their cell selection. The simulation algorithms provide pack-level specifications and graphical displays to give engineers a precise understanding of the ideal cell model for their electric application. The EnPower web app integrates seamlessly with MATLAB and Simulink by offering direct simulation results exports. From there, engineers can expand on the initial pack design to complete the battery system design workflow.
